Community Services workers will begin seasonal flushing of select Dover fire hydrants beginning Sunday night, April 30. The work is expected to take about a week.

Crews will work at night from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m.

Hydrant flushing is essential to maintain water quality and allow adequate fire flows throughout the distribution system. No disruption of water service is expected, though there may be brief times of lower water pressure. Residents may notice some discoloration of the water. This is temporary and does not pose any threat to public health.

For more information, contact the Community Services Utilities Division at 603-516-6450. For any overnight issues, contact Dover Police Dispatch at 603-742-4646.
