The Engineering Division is responsible for planning, designing, managing, and overseeing many of the City of Dover's Capital Improvement Projects. These projects are identified through the City's Capital Improvements Program (CIP) and are essential to maintaining and improving public infrastructure.

Projects may include road and sidewalk construction and reconstruction, water and sewer infrastructure improvements, stormwater system upgrades, bridge rehabilitation, traffic and pedestrian safety enhancements, and other public works initiatives. The Engineering Division works closely with contractors, utility providers, and the public to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to residents and businesses.
