Senior Fitness

The Dover Community Senior Center has a wonderful opportunity for members to use the fitness area of Dover Recreation, Monday through Friday from 8am - 12noon for a $5 yearly surcharge as part of their Senior Center membership. The fitness area includes a Cybex circuit room, cardio and free weight rooms, and a warm up cool down area with mats, exercise balls, and flex bands.

Fitness Classes

Fitness classes are offered throughout the year. We will miss our tireless instructor, Theresa Bean - 2012 Outstanding Achievement Award winner from the Governor's Council on Physical Activity and Health, who has decided to retire and enjoy more time with her children and grandchildren!
We currently offer Yoga for Strength on Mondays with Kim, Tai Chi on Wednesdays with Dianne and Chair Yoga on Thursdays with Nicole.  Must have a current Senior Center membership to participate.  Registration must be completed in advance - no drop ins or day of registrations due to limited spots.  Prices vary based on number of classes- sign-ups are done monthly.

Payment and a completed waiver are due at signup.  Members must wear athletic shoes and bring water with them. Please check with your physician before participating in any exercise program.

Pickleball!
Summer Schedule:  We play pickleball at the dedicated outdoor courts located behind the Garrison Elementary School on Tuesday mornings from 8:30am - 11:00am and Friday mornings from 8:30-11am.  Start times/end times can vary based on weather and courts conditions so you need to be a member to receive email updates.  We have the courts reserved on those days from 8am - noon.  We are currently not able to accept any new non-resident members due to space constraints.
Winter Schedule:  We play indoors at the Butterfield Gym, located within the McConnell Center, on Tuesdays, which require you to sign-up on our Sign-up Genius group, and Fridays from 8:30am-11:00am.
This program is free for members but we do require a completed waiver.  Members must wear clean athletic shoes and bring water with them.  Please check with your physician before participating in any exercise program. New players must participate in a beginner class or have previous playing experience.  We are not currently offering any beginner classes due to the size of our current group & space constraints, but we are happy to refer you to other local facilities that you can learn to play.
