Over 45 Men's Hockey League

This league is designed for competitive hockey players that still think they've got it! Age minimum is strictly limited to 45 years or older. This is a very competitive hockey league.  Goalies can be any age. Full equipment is required. Teams will be made to keep games competitive. Space is very limited!  Women are encouraged to join our adult women's skate or our Co-ed adult Hockey league.

Women's Hockey/Chix With Stix

Designed for adult women with basic skating skills 30 years old or older, or younger adults that are truly beginner skaters or new to the game. This is a beginner intermediate Adult Women’s program, designed for fun. Coach’s are provided for games and will guide players with skill and positional development. Goalies and refs are also provided for each skate. Players just out of college should not participate in this program. This program is focused on improving skating skills, learning the game of hockey. positional play, teamwork and FUN!

Dover Arena Co-Ed Hockey League

This league is focused on the beginner/intermediate hockey player, 18 and over, and is CO-ED. This is a 6 team league, players register individually and the arena staff adjusts the rosters to ensure parity between the teams. Full equipment is required. Focus is on fun, teamwork and skill improvement. Jerseys, referee, timekeepers and scorekeeper are provided for the games. There are very strict discipline and tough play rules. Strong intermediate players and advanced players should not join this league. 

Full equipment is required. Non-contact, no slap shots. Registrations are limited and this program fills quickly!

Adult Co-ed Skill Development Clinics
This new program is offered to our ADULT CO-ED hockey league players and all others at the beginner/intermediate hockey skills level. This program is not for the very beginner introduction to hockey player. The focus is on players that have some hockey skills and are looking to develop their skills further. The first part of each session will be focused on skills and drills and the second part of each session will be a controlled scrimmage focused on team play and positional play. Qualified coaches will be available for all instruction. Weekly sessions will focus on specific skill: skating, shooting, puck handling, defensive zone play, offensive zone play, breakouts, face-offs, gap control, timing, transitional play and team play. Bring your team! Space is limited to 24 skaters.

Co-ed/Beginner Level Pick-up Hockey

This is a beginner hockey pick up game for men and women ages 18 and over. This recreational program focuses on skill enhancement and fun. This is a safe, non-contact program and welcomes all beginner skaters and intermediate skaters that can stay focused on a fun pick-up game situation. No strong intermediate or advanced men or women skaters in this program. Advanced skaters will be asked to leave. This program is for beginner hockey players only. Full hockey equipment required. Each session is an hour and a half. Two goalies will be provided.

Beginner Adult Hockey Skills, Drills & Pick-up Games

This is a beginner hockey skills program for men and women ages 18 and over. This recreational program focuses on skill enhancement and fun. This is a safe, non-contact program and welcomes all beginner skaters. Men are limited to only beginner level skaters, no intermediate or advanced men skaters in this program. Full hockey equipment required. Each session is an hour and a half of skating, with skating and hockey drills and a game at the end of each session. Qualified adult hockey instructors are on the ice each session.

Adult Hockey Skills & Drills Co-ed 2.0 (Mid-level)
This program is focused on the mid-level Co-Ed hockey player that wants to improve their skills; skating, stick handling, stick & puck movement and positional play.  This is not an Adult introduction to hockey program.  Skaters will learn through practice drills, game situations, and small area games.  Groups formed based on skill level and skater interests.  Focus is on mid-level and lower intermediate hockey players.  Qualified instructors, low instructor to player ratio.  Open to all skaters, you do not need to be affiliated with any Dover hockey league to join.  Full equipment is required.

Adult Intro to Hockey

This program is designed for the adult skater (men & women) with basic to intermediate skating skills. The sessions start with skills and drills related to hockey, then a short scrimmage will end each session. Instruction will include the basic concepts of stick and puck skills along with skating and positional skills in game situations as they relate to hockey. Full hockey equipment is required. Qualified instructors and low instructor to player ratio for hands on training. This is a fun hockey environment for all levels of players and is for adult men and women.
