Communications Bureau

The Communications Bureau is responsible for the handling of business and emergency telephone lines, computer lines and radio communications for the City of Dover's Public Safety Dispatch Center. The Communications Bureau serves as the nerve center of both the police and fire departments.

The Public Safety Dispatch Center window is located in the main lobby of the Dover Police Department at 46 Chestnut Street. It is open 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.

In addition to many other duties, dispatchers have the primary responsibility for initial deployment of public safety personnel and equipment to calls for service.
