Some trees to be removed from Lower Henry Law Park; New trees to be planted

The contractor will remove a series of trees near the sidewalk of Lower Henry Law Park starting this week. New trees will be planted after work is completed. At the completion, Henry Law Park will have more trees then there are now.

The tree removal is necessary for underground utility work, including the installation of a new drainage system. The grade of the sidewalks will also be raised to the level of Henry Law Avenue. These actions would have killed or severely damaged the trees if left in place.
