The Community Services Utilities Division began flushing fire hydrants throughout the city on Sunday, April 17, 2022. This phase of hydrant flushing will occur on dead-end streets and is expected to take one week.
Crews will work at night from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Hydrant flushing is essential to maintain water quality and allow adequate fire flows throughout the distribution system. No disruption of water service is expected. Residents may notice some discoloration of the water, which is temporary and does not pose any threat to public health.
