Are you a fan of Antiques Roadshow on PBS? Do you think you might have some antique or collectible treasures lying around your house gathering dust when they could be adding to your bank account? This program sponsored by the Dover Public Library, will be held on Monday, March 29, from 6-8 p.m., and gives you the chance to “bring” an item to the virtual event and have it appraised online by professional appraiser Mike Ivankovich. You must register to receive the link for this program. You can register through the library’s website library.dover.nh.gov/events.

The first 25 registrants will be able to present an item to Mike Ivankovich through the camera on their computer for his appraisal. Throughout the program Mike will talk about buying, selling tips and strategies and will give an overview of value for antiques and collectibles. If any of the first 25 registrants don't end up attending, those down the line may be able to step in with an item to be appraised. All attendees should have an item ready just in case he has extra time or attendance is lighter than expected. Larger items that feature less detail will make the online appraisal easier. But if you have a really fine item we can give it a try. Just plan to have another item you’d like appraised just in case. We still have plenty of spots and even after we fill the appraisal spots you can still sign up and learn a lot about valuing collectibles and antiques and gain some handy tips from a professional.
