The Conservation Commission and the City Council approved the use of the space at Garrison Hill Park in April. The Conservation Commission approved expending a maximum of $14,000 from the Conservation Fund to seed the project startup.
Part of the money would include funding any needed utility work, building a fence around the garden, erecting a shed and purchasing tools and garden supplies.
