Storm to postpone curbside trash and recycling pickup beginning Thursday

Due to significant snow accumulation anticipated for tomorrow, Thursday, Dec. 17, the City of Dover’s solid waste vendor, Waste Management, will postpone trash and recycling pickup for Thursday and Friday customers. There will be no curbside collection on Thursday.

Trash and recycling pickup scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 17, will be picked up Friday, Dec. 18. Trash and recycling pickup scheduled for Friday, Dec. 18 is now scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 19.

In addition to changes to solid waste pickup schedules, the City of Dover’s Community Services Director has issued a city-wide parking ban that is in effect everywhere except downtown from 10 p.m. tonight, Wednesday, Dec. 16, until 6 a.m. tomorrow, Thursday, Dec. 17. The downtown parking ban in effect tomorrow morning, Thursday, Dec. 17, from 1 to 6 a.m.
