Locust, Silver Street intersection closed to traffic on Tuesday

Road work on Silver Street will require the closure of the Locust Street and Silver Street intersection on Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2015, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. This work is part of the ongoing Silver Street reconstruction.

Locust Street will be closed to traffic at the intersection in both directions. During this time, traffic from the north will be detoured at Kirkland and Church streets, toward Central Avenue, and traffic from the south will be detoured at Spring, Summer and Trakey streets.

Silver Street remains open to one-way traffic east bound, between between Arch Street and Central Avenue; however, traffic will not be able to turn onto Locust Street on Tuesday. Silver Street will remain open to one-way traffic only through the end of the 2015 construction season.
