Henry Law Avenue reconstruction public meeting July 23

The City of Dover will begin significant upgrades to Payne Street, Henry Law Avenue and Henry Law Park beginning in early August. This project will completed in three phases over multiple years.

The contractor selected for the project, Northeast Earth Mechanics, LLC and the city will host a neighborhood meeting to go over the project in detail on Thursday, July 23 at 6 p.m. in the McConnell Center cafeteria.

The meeting will allow the contractor and the city to give the public a detailed overview of the upgrades of the project and the impacts during construction, and provide the public an opportunity to ask questions.

Work includes underground utility work on Henry Law Avenue, Payne Street and Henry Law Park and street reconstructions of Henry Law Avenue and Payne Street. The last phase of the project will impact Washington Street by lower square.

The McConnell Center is located at 61 Locust St., adjacent to the Dover Public Library. From the parking lot, enter Door 3 and down the stairs to access the cafeteria. For handicap access, use Door 7 on the St. Thomas Street side of the building.
