The reopening date for the Dover Public Library has been postponed to Friday, June 26, 2026, due to construction delays.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, June 26. The public is invited to attend and explore the renovated library during an open house from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, June 26, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 27.

The Dover Public Library will continue to operate temporarily in Room 306 of the McConnell Center through Monday, June 22. The temporary location is open Mondays from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Services available at the McConnell Center include:

  • A browse collection of books for all ages, featuring items purchased within the past six months.
  • Pickup of books on hold. Patrons may place holds only on browse books while the temporary location is in operation.
  • Four computers for public use, with printing capabilities.
    Magazines and newspapers.
  • Museum passes available for borrowing.
  • Homebound delivery and the off-site All Abilities Club.
  • Interlibrary loan services to borrow books from other libraries.
