Fourth of July holiday hours for city offices, facilities

City administrative offices, including City Hall will close at 4 p.m. on Thursday, July 3. They will also be closed on, Friday July 4, 2025, for the Independence Day holiday. Regular hours will resume on Monday, July 7.

The Public Library will close at 4 p.m. on Thursday, July 3. They will be also be closed on Friday, July 4, and Saturday, July 5.

The Recycling Center will close at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 3. Regular hours resume on Saturday, July 5.

The Fitness Center and Butterfield Gym, located at the McConnell Center, the Dover Arena, Camp Kool, and Dover Community Senior Center will be closed on Friday, July 4.

The Jenny Thompson Outdoor Pool will be open on Friday, July 4 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. for scheduled swim sessions and recreational swimming. For a list of scheduled activities and hours, visit the Recreation Department's website. The Dover Indoor Pool will be closed.

Inspection Services on Mast Road will close at 4 p.m. on Thursday, July 3. They will also be closed Friday, July 4. Regular hours will resume on Monday, July 7.

There will be no curbside trash and recycling pick-up on Friday, July 4. Regularly scheduled pick-ups on Friday will occur on Saturday, July 5. For more information, contact Community Services at 603-516-6450.

Independence Day, Friday, July 4, is a parking holiday. Metered parking is not required on parking holidays in most locations, except for the Parking Garage and Transportation Center Lot, which are metered parking at all times.
