Dover Police Chief Anthony Colarusso, Jr. announced the the 321-space public parking garage is now open. Colarusso noted the Police and Parking Facility Building Committee pledged two years ago to open the parking garage prior to this year's holiday season.
A formal grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 1, at 3 p.m., at the entrance to the garage on Orchard Street.

The new parking garage on Orchard Street uses "Pay by Space" metering technology. This technology offers additional, convenient options for motorists accustomed to the existing downtown EasyPark personal metering system.
