The City Council meets Wednesday, April 10, for its first regular meeting of the month.

The agenda includes a resolution, “Recognizing the impacts of the Israel-Hamas war on the residents of Dover, New Hampshire, and urging federal policymakers to push for an immediate ceasefire and the delivery and distribution of humanitarian aid; affirming the City of Dover’s commitment to being a welcoming and inclusive community for residents of all backgrounds; and denouncing hate, bigotry, and discrimination in all of its forms,” co-sponsored by Councilors April Richer and Robert Warach.

The City Council meets Wednesday, April 10, for its first regular meeting of the month.

The agenda includes a resolution, “Recognizing the impacts of the Israel-Hamas war on the residents of Dover, New Hampshire, and urging federal policymakers to push for an immediate ceasefire and the delivery and distribution of humanitarian aid; affirming the City of Dover’s commitment to being a welcoming and inclusive community for residents of all backgrounds; and denouncing hate, bigotry, and discrimination in all of its forms,” co-sponsored by Councilors April Richer and Robert Warach.

Other agenda items include:

  • Authorizing the expenditure of $196,550 to Weston & Sampson for design engineering, permitting, bid assistance and construction administration for planned rehabilitation work to the Jenny Thompson Outdoor Pool. The City Council included $2 million in the FY2025 Capital Improvements Program for the repairs to be made to the pool, anticipated to start in September.
  • Authorizing awarding the annual street paving bid to Brox Industries, of Dracut, Massachusetts for $2,048,830.
  • Authorizing expending $400,000 for contingency funding for the construction of the Pudding Hill Water Treatment Plant. The funding will allow the city to utilize unused amounts of a PFAS grant to be used to remediate the Griffin Well in the Pudding Hill aquifer. To date, the construction of the water treatment plant has been funded by contributions from the responsible private party and the NH Department of Environmental Services’ PFAS grant.
