Free tax help at the Dover Public Library

The AARP Foundation is offering free tax preparation assistance by appointment only at the Dover Public Library. AARP volunteers will be at the library Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. To schedule an appointment call 2-1-1 or go online to NHtaxhelp.org.

Only one return can be completed per appointment. If you have additional returns to prepare, please schedule an additional appointment for each return.

When you go to your appointment, you must bring the following:

• If possible, please print and fill out the first two pages of the Intake Form.
• If married, it is preferable for both spouses be present
• Original or photocopy of social security cards for taxpayer, spouse, if married, and any dependents being claimed
• Picture ID for taxpayer and spouse (must be a Driver's License, or state issued ID Card, or other official document)
• All W-2's for all places worked in previous year
• Prior year tax return, if applicable
• Routing number and bank account number for direct deposit

Free tax preparation is available to all ages and occupations.
