The Community Services Utilities Division will begin flushing fire hydrants throughout the City on Sunday, Sept. 24, 2017. Hydrant flushing is expected to take six weeks.

Crews will work at night from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Hydrant flushing is essential to maintain water quality and allow adequate fire flows throughout the distribution system. No disruption of water service is expected. Residents may notice some discoloration of the water. This is temporary and does not pose any threat to public health.
