Parking Permits Rules and Regulations

Additional Parking Permits Regulations

  • Valid “month” sticker must be displayed at all times. 
  • Permits will not be issued to or renewed for any person who has outstanding parking violations.
  • Resident permits holders must have the vehicle registered to the address for which they are applying for a qualified resident permit.
  • Vehicles must have a valid registration for the permit to be valid.   Unregistered vehicles on city property are subject to towing at the vehicle owner’s expense. 

Orchard Garage

  • Failure to renew a permit by the last day of the month may result in loss of the permit and owner may need to go on a waiting list. 
  • Covered parking is not guaranteed.    Your vehicle may end up on the uncovered top floor. 
  • Permits are only valid in spaces number 201 and higher.

Second Street – Resident and Business:

  • Vehicles must be parked west of the meter that is front of the old Court House, 10 Second Street.   You can park on either side of the street, but it must be past the meter. 
  • If you find Second Street full, your Second Street permit is always valid in the Transportation Lot at the end of the street. 

First Street – Resident and Business

  • Permits are only valid on the north side of the street (across from the new building).   They are not valid in the spaces facing Earcraft Music.     If you find First Street full, you First Street permit is always valid in the Transportation Lot at the end of the street.     You may also park in the lot behind Oriental Delight (but not between 11pm and 6 am each day).  

Chapel Street - Business

  • If there are no spaces on Chapel Street, you may park in the angled spaces on School Street or on Main Street with your permit.
