State of the City forum now available to watch on DoverTV, online

The Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual State of the City forum on April 15 at Cochecho Country Club, bringing together city and regional leaders to discuss transportation and Dover’s future growth.
The program featured a keynote presentation from Planning and Community Development Director Donna Benton, who outlined how the city’s Master Plan guides long-term development, including the upcoming update to the transportation chapter. Benton was joined by Patricia Quinn of the Northern New England Passenger Rail Authority and Rad Nichols of COAST, who shared insights on rail and bus service across the region.
The discussion focused on how Dover’s growth, shifting commuting patterns, and evolving transportation needs are shaping planning efforts, with an emphasis on walkability, traffic management, and access to regional transit options.
