The Rotary Club of Dover is once again partnering with Seacoast Sweet Stitches to provide fleece mittens for individuals in need during the winter season. Community members are invited to volunteer at the Mitten Workshop on Saturday, January 24, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., in the first-floor conference room at 121 Broadway. No prior experience is required, and all supplies will be provided.

In December, more than 30 volunteers joined Dover Rotarians for a successful mitten-making workshop held on Saturday, Dec. 13, in collaboration with Abby Lamothe, founder of Seacoast Sweet Stitches. Donated materials included fleece fabric, a die-cutting system, and sewing machines for participants with sewing experience.

Remaining fleece materials from the project will be repurposed by volunteers at the Hope Memorial Shelter to create dog beds, ensuring that nothing goes to waste.
