School Board to meet Jan. 17 for FY2024 budget adoption

The School Board will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 17, at 6 p.m., to adopt the School Department’s fiscal year 2024 budget.

Once adopted, the budget will be included in the City Manager’s proposed FY2024 budget, scheduled to be presented to the City Council in February.

Initially, the School Board planned to adopt its budget on Jan. 9; however, the board postponed it until Jan. 17 to allow Business Administrator Michael Limanni additional time to ensure the accuracy of staffing cost estimates and other budget figures.

The School Board has held four budget workshops since November. In that time, the board has reviewed staffing requests, student enrollment figures and projections, and anticipated costs to run the district. These workshops and associated documents are posted on the FY2024 Budget Revealed webpage.

The Jan. 17 special meeting will be held in School Board Chambers, Room 306, of the McConnell Center. It will be televised on Channel 22 and online at https://dovernh.viebit.com, where it will also be available for on demand viewing. Click here for current and previous School Board agendas.
