Planning Board to hold public hearing, possibly adopt Master Plan Vision Chapter

The Planning Board will hold a public hearing, followed by a discussion and possible adoption of the draft version of the Master Plan’s Vision Chapter, “Distinctly Dover: A Community Vision for 2035,” at its Tuesday, July 25 meeting.

The Master Plan's Vision Chapter captures the long-term view of the city, as told by Dover residents, and serves as the foundation from which all other Master Plan chapters are built.

Over the past nine months, Planning Department staff members and the Vision Chapter Steering Committee have worked alongside consultant partners, Resilience Planning and Design and CJW Consulting RRG, to create an updated Vision Chapter of the city's Master Plan that represents what makes the community, "Distinctly Dover." It would replace the current Vision Chapter, “Building our Tomorrow,” adopted in 2012. The Master Plan team engaged the public through various means to gather input for the chapter update.

The Planning Board meeting begins at 7 p.m. in City Hall’s Council Chambers. It will be televised on Channel 22 and online at https://dovernh.viebit.com, where it will also be available for on-demand viewing.
