The City Council meets on Wednesday, July 22 at 7 p.m. in City Hall's Council Chambers.

On the agenda is a resolution setting the hours for the Sept. 8, 2026 State Primary Election for 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in all six city wards.

The City Council will also consider authorizing an additional scope of work for Northeast Earth Mechanics LLC to do sitework at Maglaras Park for $767,716, as part of the dredge cell closure project. The work includes includes addressing drainage needs, and solidifying the final layout and base material setup for the dredge cell parking and ballfields at the park.

The Council will also consider authorizing additional oversight costs for the Central Avenue Urban Core Water Improvements currently underway.

Also on the agenda are resolutions that would award bids for:

  • Upgrading downtown lightening and related infrastructure
  • Tree removal and related services
  • Catch basin cleaning services
  • Vehicle and fleet part purchases
  • Ambulance billing management
  • Software subscription for debt and lease management

The City Council will also hold its second of two public hearings on a pending resolution authorizing the City of Dover to conduct its annual appraisal of real estate for fiscal year 2027 (tax year 2026). The first public hearing was on July 8. The vote will occur on Aug. 26.
