Engine 612 in Dover, 1938. This heavy duty shifter was used in yard service only . Handwriting on the back of the photograph notes:
Class H-2-a. Built by Alco in 1922. Engine weight-221,000 pounds. Tractive effort-50,050 pounds. Steam pressure-175 pounds. Engine scrapped  8-25-55.
