The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces that night work on the Spaulding Turnpike (NH 16) to facilitate the reconstruction of the Exit 6 Interchange on the Spaulding Turnpike in Dover is under way.

Nighttime construction operations on the Spaulding Turnpike allow for the demolition of the old Exit 6 bridge that previously carried US Route 4 over the Spaulding Turnpike in Dover. Lane closures and short-term detours are in place on the Spaulding Turnpike southbound and northbound for this work. Message Boards, traffic control devices, signage, and uniformed officers/flaggers will be used to help direct motorists through the work zone.

The night work is expected to continue through Oct. 12. Nighttime work hours will be from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Adverse weather conditions could delay this work.
