Memory Lab
Convert your memories to digital files
Your memories are stored in photographs, negatives, slides, VHS tapes and cassette tapes. All of these media degrade over time – and your memories will eventually be lost. At the Dover Public Library you can convert all of those memories to digital files, so that they can live on without deteriorating.
If you are copying VHS or audiocassettes, bring a pair of headphones so that you can hear what you are copying, or you can purchase earbuds for $3.
Photos, negatives and slides
Use our Epson Perfection V600 scanner to scan photos, negatives and slides and convert them into – JPEG, Bitmap, TIFF, PDF files. You can save these files on a thumb drive, or save them in the cloud. You can scan multiple photos, two negative strips, or four slides at a time. The software provides a variety of adjustment modes to improve the quality of your scans.
If you wish to use your own laptop, download the software from https://epson.com/Support/Scanners/Perfection-Series/Epson-Perfection-V600-Photo/s/SPT_B11B198011#drivers
