Checkouts, fines, renewals, overdues, returns?

What is going on at the library?

The library building is now closed.  We do not know when it will open back up.  Here is the plan in the meantime:

If you have books or DVDs (or anything else) checked out, please keep them safely at your house until the building reopens.

There are no fines now, and fines won't start again until the building has been open for 3 weeks.

You cannot (and don't need to) renew your items.  Just keep them at your house.

If you have something on hold, it will still be on hold for you when the building opens.

If your library card has expired, please give us a call at 603-516-6050 and we'll get it renewed for you.

When the building opens back up

If you have a hold, we'll let you know that the building is open and you will have a week to pick up your hold.

If you have items checked out (that are were not overdue on March 16) we will tell you their NEW due date which will be at least 3 weeks after the building opens.

We won't start adding fines until the building has been open for 3 weeks.

If you have overdue books, please return them (but they won't be accruing fines while the building is closed).

The librarians are here to answer questions

Please give us a call at 603-516-6050 or email libraryquestions@dover.nh.gov.
