Become a volunteer for the City of Dover!

The City of Dover welcomes the opportunity to work with adult individuals who would like to volunteer their time to the City. If you would like to share your time, skills and smile with citizens, visitors and the City of Dover staff, you need to simply complete the Volunteer Application and submit it to the City Manager's Office. We will work with you to determine exactly what area you would like to offer your assistance.

Some ideas on how you can share your time and skills with Dover:

• Telephone Reception
• Field Surveys for GIS & Engineering
• Data Collection
• Filing & Photocopying Records
• Welcoming Visitors & Providing Information
• Document Archiving & Scanning Documents

You will gain much personal satisfaction and at the same time, gain more of an understanding of how the City of Dover operates along with how the various city departments interact and rely on each other.

** Please note that it is a City of Dover requirement that all volunteers go through background checks.
