The Integrated Delivery Network of Strafford County will hold four training sessions for volunteers interested in working with the Strafford County Extreme Cold Weather Emergency Shelter. Each session is the same and volunteers are required to attend one of these sessions if interested in volunteering at the shelter, when activated.

These training sessions are also strongly encouraged for anyone interested in supporting city, town or other local agency shelter efforts, as well as those interested in helping address homelessness in Strafford County. These sessions and volunteering at the shelter are opportunities for communities and residents to band together and directly contribute to the ongoing work to address the needs of the homeless population in Strafford County.

The dates and locations of the sessions are as follows:

  • Friday, Dec. 13, 6 to 8 p.m., McConnell Center cafeteria, 61 Locust St., Dover
  • Saturday, Dec. 14, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Strafford County Alms House shelter site, 276 County Farm Road, Dover
  • Monday, Dec. 16, 6 to 8 p.m., Rochester Public Library, Community Room, 65 South Main St., Rochester

Light refreshments will be served.
