The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (DES) has lifted a cyanobacteria advisory for those who recreate on Willand Pond.

The advisory had been in effect since June 19 after testing confirmed elevated levels of cyanobacteria, a blue-green algae. Subsequent testing of the water confirmed the pond has returned to acceptable levels.

DES routinely monitors public beaches and public waters of the state for cyanobacteria.
