Public hearing on stewardship chapter of Master Plan slated for Feb. 14

On Tuesday, Feb. 14, at Dover City Hall, the Dover Planning Board will hold a public hearing on the 2016 Stewardship of Resources Chapter of the Master Plan. The Planning Board meeting begins at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers.

The public hearing follows a Jan. 10, 2017 Planning Board workshop to review the proposed chapter. The Stewardship of Resources Chapter encompasses a range of topics that contribute to what makes Dover a unique place. Specifically, the Stewardship of Resources Chapter addresses the following topics: energy, natural resources, historic and cultural resources, coastal management, natural hazards and social capital.

The City of Dover completed a comprehensive community-wide visioning process as part of its comprehensive master planning process in 2012. The topics addressed in the Stewardship of Resources Chapter were identified during the visioning process.
