Dover WaterfrontThe Cochecho Waterfront Development Advisory Committee will host a community forum about the future of the City’s waterfront property on Monday, Sept. 8, 2014, at 6 p.m. The forum will be held in Room 305 at the McConnell Center, 61 Locust St.

Committee members encourage Dover residents to attend the forum and help shape the future of the waterfront along the Cocheco River. The committee is seeking feedback and ideas from Dover residents about the redevelopment and use of the public waterfront parcel over the next five to 10 years.

The most recent plan to develop the property ended when the developer, Dickinson Development Corporation of Quincy, Mass., was unable to secure adequate financing.

"We’re looking forward to hearing from the citizens of Dover about the waterfront they want to see in the next decade,” said Jack Mettee, chairman of the Cochecho Waterfront Development Advisory Committee. “We now have a fresh opportunity to reaffirm our vision for this valuable City property. The committee will consider all suggestions.”

The forum is open to all Dover residents and property owners.
