Introduction
The Longhill Dog Park is located at the Longhill Memorial Park off Longhill Road in Dover, New Hampshire. There is parking available at the park or in 10 overflow spaces in the adjacent Middleton Building Supply parking lot.

Cost:
There is no cost to use the dog park! In order to help fund future maintenance, when you renew your dog's license, there is a choice to make a designated contribution to the park. Also, a Dog Owner's Group is in the early stages of organizing and will be helpful in the oversight of the dog park on a day to day basis. If you are interested in helping out, you can email Gary Bannon.

History:
The location of the Dog Park was recommended in the City's Recreation Master Plan in 2009. Recreation Director Gary Bannon and Planning Director Chris Parker then worked with residents and dog owners in the fall of 2009 to design the park. Construction of the park was funded by the Recreation Improvements Fund, where $12,000 in contributions from developers had been set aside for upgrades to City parks on the north end of the City.

The site required a significant amount of preparation, and thanks to the work of Eagle Scout candidate Daniel Gow of Somersworth, piles of brush were removed, saving the City months of work.

Middleton Building Supply, which is adjacent to the park, is providing 10 parking spaces for overflow parking at the Dog Park.
