Hydrant Flushing scheduled for month of October.
Department Posting:Community Services
posted on:09/21/2009
The Utilities Division will begin hydrant flushing throughout the City of Dover on Sunday, October 4, 2009. Crews will be working nights from 7:00 pm to 5:00 am, Sunday through Thursday. This will be ongoing for approximately four weeks.

Hydrant flushing is essential to maintaining water quality and adequate flow throughout the distribution system. No disruption of water service is expected during this time. Residents may notice some discoloration of the water; this is temporary and does not pose any threat to public health.

If you should have any questions, please call 516-6450. We'll be happy to answer any questions you may have.
