Silver Street (also known as NH Route 9) will be closed to all through traffic beginning on Tuesday, May 26, 2009. This will be a complete road closure; 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Commercial vehicles will be prohibited on Silver Street from the Spaulding Turnpike to Central Avenue for the duration of this project.

Local traffic will be detoured using nearby side streets. Silver Street will remain closed for approximately one month. The actual closure will be between Belknap Street and Cushing Street for construction of a pedestrian tunnel.
