Senior Volunteer Program

The Senior Volunteer Program provides an opportunity for retired individuals, who have some extra time, to contribute to the community by assisting the Police Department in a variety of non-enforcement activities.

HISTORY
The Dover Police Senior Volunteer Program, modeled after the AARP Program, was started in 1993 with twelve original members. The backgrounds of our volunteers vary greatly from retired military personnel to retired school teachers and principals. Others are only semi-retired, but still find some time to serve the Police Department.
