An important and valuable accession to the trade resources of Dover is the bakery confectionery and catering establishment of George H. Biddle, which was established nearly half a century ago and has been conducted by Mr. Biddle for 25 years with an annually increasing trade and influence. Mr. Biddle is a practical baker, confectioner and caterer and gives his close personal attention to all the details of his business in the interest of perfection and product. His premises are fully equipped, beautifully appointed and elegantly furnished. All his products are carefully manufactured and uniform in quality. Only the best and purest materials are used and the result is a class of goods that have no superior anywhere. The products embrace domestic baked good, bread, cakes, pastry, brown bread and beans, confectionery of all kinds and ice cream. Wedding cakes are made a specialty, to order, of any size and quality.. In all departments of the business the most complete facilities are placed at the disposal of patrons. This bakery has two ovens and a capacity if five barrels of flour per day and is the largest establishment of its kind in Dover and vicinity.
