TIF Financing District: Exploring the recommendation of a TIF Financing District in Dover to help capitalize needed infrastructure sooner during tight economic times.

Enterprise Park: Promoting the sale, development and maintenance of DBIDA owned land to private companies for appropriate commercial building, to enhance Dover tax rateables and quality jobs.

Waterfront Redevelopment: Facilitating the attraction of companies and residential buyers to develop and rehabilitate the Dover waterfront to be incorporated into the downtown core while adding to its esthetic appeal and enhancing its economic vitality.

Parking Garage: Exploring various options to accelerate the funding and building of a downtown parking garage to increase convenient access to our downtown merchants, restaurants, attractions, and services to bring more outside revenues and inside jobs to Dover.

Pedestrian Bridge Relocation: Working with the Pedestrian Bridge Relocation Committee to bring the economic development considerations to the selection options for a final location for this Dover icon.

Quality of Life/Place Initiative: Partnering with the Quality of Life Sub-Committee of the Dover Planning Board to address the QOL segments of economic development, to acquire economic development stakeholder consensus, and to develop a Dover Ambassador volunteer cadre to promote the City wherever they travel.

Downtown Development: Working as a member of the Downtown Strategic Planning Committee, with downtown property owners, The Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce, and Dover Main Street to ensure that Dover downtown continues to enjoy balanced growth, maintains its economic vibrancy and mixed use characteristics while retaining its character and mill town charm. Issues being addressed include use of existing buildings, access, traffic, and parking, among others.

Destination Dover Tourism Project: Initial steps being taken to bring several participants in the hospitality industry (hotels, restaurants), transportation industry (bus tours, Downeaster train), museums, event holders, and educational institutions to make Dover a destination for visitors with enough to keep them here overnight.

Business Retention Financing Assistance: Working with SEDC, DRED, SBA, and local banks to assist local companies experiencing cash flow and/or credit acquisition problems during the economic downturn and credit crunch to enable them to weather it and sustain until better times return.

Economic Revitalization Zones: Working with the Dover Planning Department, NH Department of Resources and Economic Development, and local businesses and relocation candidate businesses to establish three ERZ zones in Dover to grow jobs and provide state tax exemptions to businesses willing to locate within the zones.
