To provide accurate and efficient maintenance and repair of the Engineering, Water, Sewer, Cemetery, Recreation, Facilities and Grounds, and Public Safety vehicles, including Police & Fire.

Goals for the Department


  • Provide for annual State inspections on vehicles

  • Preventive maintenance and repair of heavy equipment during snow, ice and other emergencies

  • Maintain an inventory of parts and fluids for normal and emergency repairs to vehicles

  • Provide for scheduled and non-scheduled repairs to City vehicles – including body repairs, paint and reconditioning

  • Implement and maintain a vehicle replacement plan
